    That error typically means the Outfox service failed to start and the user interface wasn't able to contact it. It is not common, but the simplest solution to this would be to restart your machine and see if it reoccurs. If restarting is not an option immediately, then you could stop and start the service using the steps below.

    1. Open Windows search or the Run prompt and type in: services.msc

    2. Open the Services list and locate Outfox.

    3. Click to highlight Outfox in the services list and choose the option to Stop the service.

    4. Give it several seconds, then choose the option to Start the service.

    5. Launch Outfox.

    None of that worked for me. This is a desktop system running Windows 10 with the latest update. I've tried rebooting, restarting the app, everything you listed there, and still nothing.

     

    But I got it to work on a laptop I have that also runs Windows 10, it just never engages. So far, this app is a bust for me.
