not working :(

Question

Im starting to doubt that this works, it does support League Of Legends, and its running in the background, but it doesnt work....

When I play League, I get a playable 125 ms, believe it or not. But it only increased it... I check the outfox application and the improvment is -57%...

I am really dissapointed as I lost plenty of games, and time... This doesnt work for me.. I dont know why.. I dont have any viruses... I have a wireless internet connection... I am from Hawaii.

hey @rampage1388

It sounds like in your case your native connection is a bit faster than the Outfox network at the time you are playing.

To explain, when using Outfox, you are using our worldwide network of servers. In many (but not all) cases, when using the Outfox network your ping times will lower and you will experience decreased latency.

That being said, we are always working to improve the service, so check back and I suggest sticking with using the "Fastest Server" option, as this will automatically determine whether or not to use Outfox or your native connection.

When using the Fastest Server option to connect, Outfox does some tests that check for things like network congestion and ping time. It then determines if the Outfox network or your native internet connection is the fastest. If you see Outfox Not Used displayed, this means your standard internet connection was faster than the Outfox connection, so you were not connected to our network.

I hope that clarifies how it works. Let us know if you have any questions!

Wes

I am using the fastest server option, still makes my ping higher.. it arose from 125 to an astonishing 1354 ping...

I downloaded outfox to see if it actually decreases my 125 ping but no.. it doesnt work.. uninstalled.

I check to see if its running in background, its not, i get a steady 125 ping.. this doesnt work..

Hi!

Thanks for getting back to us.  Outfox should not be using one of our servers if it determines that it cannot improve your ping.  If you are selecting the fastest server option and it is still connecting you to one of our servers and increasing your ping, we would want to take a look into that.  If you would be willing to reinstall the app and reproduce the issue for us, we would be happy to take a look at your logs.

Find the log files for your session at the following directory paths:

  1. %ProgramData%\Golden Frog, GmbH\Outfox\Outfox.log
  2. %AppData%\Golden Frog, GmbH\Outfox\OutfoxUI.log
    1. Open File Explorer (Win 8/10), also called Windows Explorer (Win 7).
    2. Click in the field at the top that displays what directory you are in. It is the longer field to the left of the Search bar.
    3. Enter the Outfox directory in this format: %ProgramData%\Golden Frog, GmbH\Outfox (Do this for both paths)
    4. Press Enter.
    5. Locate the Outfox.log and OutfoxUI.log files in their respective folders.

Once you've located the log files, please send an email to support@getoutfox.com with the logs attached and a description of the issue.

Thanks for your time!
